Darren Schalk is 34 and has been married for 12 years to Kristi. They have three children, Jake, 8, Abby & Alli (identical twins), 6. At the conclusion of this paragraph, he will no longer write in the third person.
I have a Bachelor’s in Pastoral Ministry and a Master’s in Church Leadership and Administration. I’ve served in various church leadership roles, including youth pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor. While attending seminary, I had the great privilege of working as an advocate for the developmentally disabled.
I recently signed a contract with Charisma House for my book! It will hit shelves October 1st, and it will be under the Passio line. You can check out the cover in the sidebar or read more about it by clicking here.
I currently serve as the Coordinator of Christian Education and Curriculum Development for the Church of God of Prophecy and Associate Editor for One Accord Resources, Inc. (so my name tag simply says “Darren, who does a lot”). We produce Christian curriculum that reaches approximately 80,000 people every week (English) and is translated around the globe. I’m also a member of several interdenominational boards and committees concerned with discipleship.
I book speaking engagements regularly, and if you’d like to have me, I’d love to come and meet you! For information, just contact me through one of the links below. God Bless!

Hi Darren. Thank you for stopping by and subscribing to follow my blog! May God bless you as you share His love with Your readers.
Thanks, and the same to you!
My wife and i appeared on wheel of fortune february 15, 2013! It was neat to read your story and see how your experience compared so closely to ours. We are anxiously awaiting the end of our 120 day wait for our winnings to start rolling in:) Congrats!
Congratulations! Can you share what you won? Thanks for reading!
We were blessed. We broke one of the longest bonus round slumps in years (11 in a row, 1 solve in 22 previous shows) and wound up with the mini cooper roadster, a trip to sandals and about 20 grand in cash. We had some stiff competition and were down almost ten grand at one point, but we got all three toss ups and the prize puzzle. Pat spun the $5000 wedge on the final spin though so it was anyone’s game at that point, and we came up with “fancy handwriting” for the win. Then my wife took over in the bonus round and nailed BROWSING to break the streak (i had been on fire until the bonus round, but my brain locked in on CRUISING, so i would have never solved it). I guess that is why the Holy Spirit led us to audition as a couple when we were given the choice for the final audition (much to my wife’s chagrin;) It should re-air sometime this summer, so check us out on the final day of sandals week:)
